In the last few months, he had a very tough fight with Hillary Clinton in the long race for the nomination. While Hillary Clinton had the lead at the beginning of the campaign, slowly but steadily Obama got the lead and kept on improving on it. After winning, Obama praised Hillary Clinton for her excellent skills and political knowledge.
