Champion Marathon Wanjiru kills himself
Sunday, May 22nd, 2011 During Sunday the Olympic champion from Kenyan Sammy Wanjiru killed himself according to police on Monday. On Monday the police gave a detailed report over the suicide death of the Olympic Marathon Sammy Wanjiru, Wanjiru committed suicide when he jumped from his balcony shortly after he had a dispute says the report. According to the police Wanjiru had a dispute between his wife and another women which lead him to suicide.
Sammy Wanjiru is aged about 24 years when he died and died during late sunday from balcony of his house. Wanjiru died in his home town Nyahururu which is situated in the Rift valley and in his house according to police release. The details of the death of the champion was given by John Mbijiwe who is a police chief from Kenya’s Central province. In the year 2008 Wanjiru was the first Kenyan who won the gold medal at Olympics at Beijing in a marathon. Wanjiru had a good record being the first Kenyan and wining a gold medal in Marathon finishing with a record of 2 hours 6 minutes and 32 seconds. After having an argument with his wife Wanjiru ju,mped from the balcony and from few days he has been drinking.
While Wanjiru was drunk and was with another women his wife found him and which created a argument. Wanjiru has been under a list of domestic problems and has been charged for some reasons like wounding security guard. However the runner has been released on bail despite of the charges and at last ended himself killing himself.
